6th Anniversary of Independence, 1924. Printed in sheetlets of 2 or 4. The sheetlet of two had a selvedge at right as shown in the mint example below. The sheets of come in two types, perf all round and perf between the stamps only. The used examples below are from Kabul and Peshawar respectively. The stamps also come in two types, with a white plume or a shaded plume to the hat.
Used on cover from Herat with faint blue oval cancel. Dated in manuscript on front 20 Rajab 1342 (= 26th February 1924).
